Tens of thousands rally nationwide over Iran war and ICE abuses.
Around eight million people took part in the third day of No Kings demonstrations across the United States, denouncing U.S. military action in Iran and federal immigration enforcement.
Saturday saw the third consecutive day of nationwide protests organized by the No Kings movement. Organizers reported approximately eight million participants in more than 3,300 events spanning all 50 states. The demonstrations united dozens of organizations and Democratic activists opposing what they describe as authoritarian policies under President Donald Trump.
Protesters specifically condemned the “illegal war” launched a month ago against Iran, linking it to rising fuel prices and a new wave of inflation. They also renewed criticism of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), highlighting what they call ongoing “abuses” by the agency.
Major gatherings took place in New York, Washington DC, Chicago, and Los Angeles. Minneapolis emerged as a focal point, drawing tens of thousands in one of the largest events of the day. The city has become a center of national outrage following the January deaths of U.S. citizens Renee Good and Alex Pretti at the hands of federal agents, incidents that intensified protests against ICE and Border Patrol operations.
From the White House, the administration dismissed the demonstrations. Spokesperson Abigail Jackson called them “therapy sessions” for what Trump and his allies refer to as the “Trump disorder,” adding, “The only people who care (about the protests) are the reporters who are paid to cover them.”
The protests occur amid growing public disapproval of Trump’s presidency. A poll released Wednesday indicated that 59 percent of Americans disapprove of his administration—the highest level recorded during his two terms. Solidarity actions also took place in Mexico, reflecting international concern over Trump’s domestic and foreign policies.
Saturday’s demonstrations reinforce the No Kings movement’s role as a national platform for civic dissent, linking domestic policy grievances to broader international opposition. The mobilizations highlight persistent tensions over U.S. military actions, federal immigration enforcement, and the reach of grassroots organizing across borders.
